On September 6, the final of the 2024 "Bay Area and Soviet Union join hands to promote Innovation and strive for First-class" and the "Tungsten and Rare Earth New Materials Innovation Application Technology Challenge" of China Innovation Fair was held in Ganzhou Economic Development Zone.

This competition focuses on the "New materials and new energy track" and the single "Tungsten and rare Earth New Materials Innovative Application Technology Challenge", aiming to accurately excavate outstanding enterprise projects, accelerate the transformation of scientific and technological achievements, and build a platform for exchanges and cooperation between enterprises in the Soviet Area and the Bay Area.

Through the fierce competition in the early stage of the online preliminary competition, 10 high-quality projects such as the research and development of high-purity refractory tungsten target for semiconductor chips, the key technology and industrialization of cermet tools and coatings, and the development and application of magnetic levitation track stood out and entered the final. At the final stage, the 10 projects conducted on-site demonstration and defense in turn, actively demonstrating the project's "result conversion amount", "industry, market and industry docking situation", "technology and products", "business model and implementation plan", "financial analysis", "team", "intellectual property clarity" and other aspects. Expert judges will ask questions, comment and score on the spot. In the end, 1 first prize, 2 second prizes and 3 third prizes were awarded. The six winning project teams will be presented at the China Innovation Fair in Guangzhou at the end of September.
